A map from 1635 shows the border between China and Tartaria.
The border runs exactly along the Great Wall of China. However, the inscription on the map says that this is not the “Great Wall of China”, but “the wall of China”.
This is in addition to the fact that many of the loopholes on the wall face towards China itself.
