The mola mola, commonly referred to as a sunfish, holds the title of being the largest bony fish in the world. The most colossal mola mola on record tipped the scales at an impressive 5,070 lbs (2,300 kg). These remarkable creatures are capable of laying up to 300 million eggs in a single reproductive event, surpassing all other vertebrates in this aspect. Additionally, they are known to spawn multiple times throughout their lives. This information was shared by Dan from Hungary, Europe, and the accompanying photograph was taken by Daniel Botelho.
